Sub-Sea Control and Monitoring

subsea diagram Our customer required a Subsea Electronic Module (SEM) to monitor pressures and temperatures as part of a water erosion predictive system.  The system had to provide a configurable power supply and interface to legacy instrumentation via RS232 and RS422/RS485 buses.  Control of the system was done via Ethernet.

In order to ensure reliable operation self monitoring was bult-in and a detailed Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA) was carried out and all components were individually derated to ensure lifetime operation requirements were met. A2E assisted with on-site integration testiSubsea PCBng.
