Electric Subsea ROVs

A2E is developing the pressure tolerant assemblies to control high voltage, high current DC power supplies used on electric subsea ROVs. The Controller assembly manages up to four independent supplies switched by IGBTs and isolation relays. The Interface assembly is remotely mounted at the switch location, minimising system noise. Leakage current is monitored and the supply is isolated if pre-set limits are exceeded.
