Charging systems for rechargeable cells can also take many forms and must be appropriate for the battery technology, the energy source used, and the cycle time requirement. If the energy source is a solar cell array, a rotating machine (wind or water turbine for example) the application may require Maximum Power Point Tracking to achieve efficient energy transfer.
